Tatsutoshi Nomura Born in 1964. After graduating in graphic design from Tama Art University in Tokyo, Nomura joined the production house ROBOT COMMUNICATIONS INC. (Tokyo). He currently works in ROBOT CAGE, the animation character division. His talent covers a wide range of projects: TV commercials and animations, event planning, picture books, illustrations etc. |

Jack Kermabon Born in 1956, Jacques Kermabon is editor-in-chief of BREF, a bimonthly published by the Agence du court métrage. He is also a correspondent for the Quebec magazine 24 Images, and part-time lecturer at the University of Paris III, Sorbonne Nouvelle. Jacques Kermabon has contributed to many educational documents and teachers' training programs. In 2003, he also made an educational DVD with Philippe Dauty consisting of three shorts produced by the Agence du court métrage, Acap, Apcvl, and Sauve qui peut le court métrage. Kermabon is the author of: Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot, a feature-film collection, Yellow Now, 1988; and an educational package for teachers on cinema in the ambit of Lycéens au cinéma en Région Centre (1996). Alain Botarelli Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1953. In 1984, after training as a social worker, he co-founded a film distribution company. Since 1989 he was in charge of the international promotion for Swiss films at the Swiss Film Center. During this time he also promoted short film screenings and he was in charge of several publications. In 1998 A. Bottarelli founded the Swiss Short Film Agency, of which he was the director until 2000. In addition to his work for short films, he co-produced long feature documentaries in 2000 and 2002. He started a new film distribution and world sales company, Moa Distribution, in 2002. He regularly organizes film events and screenings and is involved in the programming for several film festivals. In 2006, A. Bottarelli created the Lausanne Festival of African Film. (Festival Cinémas d’Afrique). |

Lia Morandini Lia Francesca Morandini began her career as a costume designer in 1973 when she worked as assistant to Marisa D'Andrea. In 1975, she designed the costumes for the film “Storie di vita e malavita” directed by Carlo Lizzani. In 1978 she began working with Amedeo Fago in the management and organisation of the Teatro Politecnico and, in 1988, in the management and organisation of the Cinema Politecnico. In 1985 she collaborated on the story of the film “La donna del traghetto” by Amedeo Fago. In 1992 she was executive producer for the cooperative Daedalus of the film “Tra due risvegli” by Amedeo Fago, for which she also authored the story. In 1997 she worked with Amedeo Fago on the screenplay and production of the film “Giochi d’Equilibrio”. |

Mauro D’ Addio Mauro D’ Addio is filmmaker and teaches Cinema at the Federal University of São Carlos. He is vice-president of the Brazilian Association of Documentary and Short Film Makers (ABD). He directed, produced and wrote the awarded shorts “Unveiled Mary” (35mm – Dolby – 14min – 2004) and “Disorder” (35mm – Dolby – 10 min – 2005). He also worked as assistant director for feature films and documentaries. As actor he did shorts and feature films. He started his career working for TV Cultura and Disney Channel Brazil. |

Amedeo Fago A graduate in Architecture from Rome University, Amedeo Fago became interested in entertainment in secondary school and as a young university student. He began working professionally as a set architect in the late sixties. Over the years Fago worked on more than 50 films directed by important filmmakers such as: Elio Petri, Marco Bellocchio, Lina Wertmüller, Carlo Lizzani, Pierre Kast, Emidio Greco, Fabio Carpi, among many others. In 1973, he concieved and founded the polyvalent cultural center in Rome "Il Politecnico". He administered and directed the Center, in all of its various activities, until 1993. In 1976 Fago made his stage directing debut with “La morte del dottor Faust” by Michel de Ghelderode. In 1978, he began working as a playwright with “Auto-ritratt-azione”, and shortly after that, “Risotto”. He enjoyed tremendous international success with the latter. It was staged over a span of more than twenty years in countires such as France, Holland, Spain, Germany, Brazil, and Russia. After “Risotto”, Fago authored “Segreteria telefonica”, “Io, patria, famiglia” and “Polaroid”. After making a few shorts, in 1985 he began directing features with “La donna del traghetto”, selected at the 39th Cannes Film Festival. He then directed "Tra due risvegli” (1992) and “Giochi di equilibrio” (1997). From 1987 to 1994 Fago launched a series of initiatives with the association “Politecnico cinema” for the promotion of Italian independent cinema. These included “La carica dei 28” and subsequently “Una sala per il cinema italiano”. In 2004, with Lia, Luisa and Morando Morandini, he began directing the “LauraFilmFestival” of Levanto. Amedeo Fago is also professor of "Theory and Technique of Cinematic Language" at the University of Rome – La Sapienza. |

Massimo Vattani Born in Rome in 1954, Vattani worked on the editorial staff of the Rome radio station, Radio Onda Rossa from 1979 to 1996. He became involved in the audiovisual field in the early nineties and was one of the founders of the group Le Tecniche. This group produced video installations and documentaries (notably the medium-length "Le ragazze del ponte", directed by Emanuela Giordano and, in 2001, "Ed entrarono in scena", a video on the history of the transsexual movement in Italy). The group also organised countless film programmes for the screening of Italian and international documentaries for the Rome underground circuit. Over the years, Vattani has worked on the creation and organisation of a myriad of Italian cultural and film events. These include the Social Film Festival in Trento, the Independent Short Film Festival in Naples, Montagne in città di Roma; the special documentary programme "Nuovi documentaristi polacchi", organised in collaboration with the Polish Cultural Institute of Rome. Vattani created and worked on projects for the teaching of cinema to children and also for the disabled. He has been responsible for two years for the pilot project “Approach to Visual Arts” produced in collaboration with the day centre "La voce della luna” and the local health authority, ASL RME. In 2002, Vattani was one of the founders and organisers of the independent film festival Tekfestival "To the ends of the earth within the West". He is one of its two artistic directors. Vattani's other festival work over the years includes the preparation of retrospectives on Nico D'alessandria, Rogerio Sganzerla, Ursula Biemann, Richard Dindo, for which he also organised the Italian tour for Swiss Film (with dates at the Festival delle Letterature of Mantova, the Cineteca of Bologna, in Trieste for Alpe Adria Cinema). Also for Festival, Vattani oversaw the series of documentaries produced in collaboration with Goodfellas (among titles already released: "The Weather Underground" by Sam Green and Bill Siegel, "Sir no Sir" by David Zeiger). He is presently organizing the 7th year of the Tekfestival, and specifically the retrospective on Harun Farocki. Massimo Vattani lives and works in Rome. |

Gabriella Guido Since 1989, Guido has been working internationally with features, shorts and documentaries releasing companies. In 1996 she founds "Village", an indie releasing company. "Village" distributed in Italy many international short film festival winners and the early works of Korean director Kim Ki Duk. She produced tv shows for RAI and Cult, among which tv specials about italian journalist Luigi Pintor and Cuba (the latter along with Gianni Minà). In 2005, she worked at Pesaro Film Festival directing the "Focus on U.S.A." section (indipendent american documentaries). She worked with Giulietto Chiesa and Franco Fracassi on "Zero: inchiesta sull’11 settembre", a film about 9/11, in competition at the Rome Film Festival 2007, "Extra" section. |
